The highlight of my usual order is the grilled chicken with saffron rice bowl and the new crispy pita crumble. The chicken is always juicy and perfectly grilled, making every bite satisfying. It's a simple yet flavorful dish that I can never get enough of! Another thing that keeps me coming back is the excellent customer service. Service is great and this place gets packed real quick! I'm not sure exactly how to describe it but the food is vibrant - the rice in my rice bowl wasn't dry or plain, it was really delicious even if it was by itself. All the other ingredients mesh really well together. If you come in really hungry, like I did, the extra protein option is a must!

I'm new to SD so this was my first time trying The Kebab Shop. I ordered a grilled chicken bowl with fries, spring mix, all the toppings, and added feta. Every ingredient tasted fresh, the chicken was cooked a seasoned beautifully, and you HAVE to try the cilantro jalapeno sauce! They did forget my order, so after the group that order after me got their food first I asked if mine was almost ready. They couldn't find the ticket but promptly asked what I ordered so they could start. Shortly after, a manager walked to my table to apologize. They ran out of grilled chicken and started a new batch, added extra chicken, and gave me a free kebab coupon. I appreciate the lengths they went to make things right and make sure I'd be back, and I would've left 5 stars if not for the mistake. But the level of service and professionalism displayed by the staff just might make me a regular!
Every time I have been to The Kebab Shop, I have had a very good experience, including this occasion. This location in Mission Valley is very convenient, in a strip mall with lots of parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. In particular, I like The Kebab Shop for its decent prices, portion size, speed of service and I like to think that it's on the healthier side. They have a pretty diverse menu where you can choose your meat and sides or go for a wrap. On this occasion I went with the plate and selected the chicken kebab, falafel and hummus with pita bread. With a generous portion of hummus, nicely grilled chicken and tasty falafel, I came away satisfied along with some leftovers.
Love this location as it's close to tjmaxx/homegoods, parking is easy, staff is friendly, and their food is always fresh. My guy and I started with the Crave Fries. This is probably the most unimpressive thing I've had at a Kebob Shop. It's extremely bland and there's way too many onions on top. Don't worry, we loved our dinners! My guy got the Lamb & Beef Doner with Cilantro-Jalapeno Hummus and Saffron Rice. The rice was pretty plain by itself, but mixing it with the hummus or any of their sauces really helps it. This hummus is my favorite hummus from them as it is soo flavorful! Works perfectly with any protein. I got the Grilled Chicken Skewer with Chickpea Falafels and the Citrus Chickpea salad. The chickpea salad was insanely good! My guy kept trying to steal more from me. Unfortunately, it did make my plate very soggy, which I didn't love. The falafels had a nice crunch to the outside, but were very soft inside and not dry at all. The falafels and the chicken went amazing with the hummus too! Highly recommend. They're fast, friendly, and delicious! 4.5 stars
A revamped concept that is better than the original. Gone are the often mispronounced Donors and misunderstood Shawarmas and are now replaced with easy to order options. They still have chicken and lamb+beef shwarma it's just called carved rotisserie now. I like this new revamp. - Pricy but worth it. - Very flavorful food and they have self serve cilantro jalapeño sauce and garlic sauce. - Their wraps are huge. - The place feels cleaner now.
Such a great spot to get your Mediterranean food fix! A casual environment where you order at the counter and are given a buzzer for when your food is ready. Seat yourself and grab additional sauces if you'd like. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. I ordered The Bowl with half & half brown rice and greens, and carved rotisserie chicken. For the fillings, I just got all the ones that were included for no extra charge. I also saw the Yelp check-in discount for the Crave Fries and couldn't help but order it at that price! Overall, decent portion sizes and I was happy with the taste of the food I got. Will definitely return the next time I'm craving Mediterranean! Located in a large plaza with plenty of parking.
